While studying philosophy at Texas Tech, a poor life decision on how to finance his education led to his own incarceration.
Jaa’far was the first winner of the Texas Tech University iHub’s Social Innovation Competition! He now uses the grit and leadership skills he’s developed to create job opportunities for people that carry the stigma of having been incarcerated.

SOURCE TO SOLUTION 2022: The Source to Solution Conference will be held on Thursday, October 27th from 8:30 a.m.-5:45 p.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. Source to Solution is a symposium on addiction highlighting prevention and recovery.
